How it works

Consult with an experienced GP from home via our online video consultations. Book your appointment easily online at your convenience.

  • WHEN SHOULD I SEE A GP ONLINE?
You can consult with a doctor online for many non-urgent health concerns that don't require a physical exam. Most common illnesses can be treated effectively through online consultations with your GP. However, if you're experiencing a medical emergency, always seek immediate in-person care from your doctor or at a hospital. Please Note: This service is not intended for immediate medical help in emergencies. Conditions like those listed below require urgent attention that this service cannot provide. If you or someone else is experiencing a life-threatening emergency, call your local emergency services immediately by dialing 999 or 112. •has severe difficulty or is not breathing •is having a heart attack or stroke •has severe chest pain •has severe abdominal pain •has severe bleeding •has lost consciousness •is in an acute confused state and/or is having fits which are not stopping •is in suicidal distress •is experiencing an acute mental health crisis If you have a medical emergency, always prioritize in-person consultation with your doctor or at a hospital. Online consultations are a helpful tool, but they cannot fully replace the comprehensive care you receive from your regular doctor's office. You may still need to see a healthcare professional in person for proper diagnosis and treatment. If the online clinician believes your situation requires immediate medical attention, they may advise you to contact emergency services. To ensure you understand the limitations of online consultations, please carefully review our Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy. This will help you make the best use of this service.
  • DURATION OF THE VIDEO CONSULTATION. WHAT HAPPENS IF THEY ARE NOT ABLE TO ASSESS YOUR PROBLEM CORRECTLY BY DIGITAL MEANS?
Video consultations typically take around 15 minutes. However, if the doctor can't fully understand your health issue during the video call, they might refer you to see them in person for a physical exam or further tests.
  • WHAT IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE GP ONLINE CONSULTATION?
Medical Certificates / Sick Notes: •Illness benefit certification for the social welfare department. •Fitness assessments for activities such as flying, sports, or travel. Restricted Prescriptions: •Controlled medications (e.g., Lyrica, opiates, benzodiazepines). •Medications needing close monitoring (antipsychotics, stimulants). •Certain unlicensed medications. •Injectables (e.g., Depo injection, travel vaccinations). Certificates/Reports Requiring Physical Examination: •Illness benefit and/or social welfare certification. •Ergonomic assessments (workplace/home office). •Driver’s license (NDLS) medical reports. •Fitness for work certification. •Fit for sports certificates. •Fit for travel/fly certificates.
  • CAN I GET REPEAT PRESCRIPTIONS FROM ONLINE DOCTORS?
Generally, online doctors don't provide repeat prescriptions because they don't have an ongoing patient-doctor relationship. However, there might be some situations where they can. Please check our Terms and Conditions for the specific details.
  • WHAT CAN I EXPECT DURING AN ONLINE VIDEO CONSULTATION?
During your online video consultation with a doctor, they will examine you visually while you describe your health issues. This allows them to make accurate observations about your condition. Based on this assessment, the doctor will create a personalized treatment plan. This plan might involve prescribing medication, referring you to specialists for further tests, or providing you with a medical certificate if necessary.
  • MEDICAL CERTIFICATES OR FIT NOTES?
Our doctors can provide private medical certificates or fit notes when they believe it's medically necessary and if this service is offered. This decision is entirely up to the doctor's professional judgment. However, we don't issue extensions or renewals of existing medical certificates or fit notes. Social Welfare Certificate? No, we cannot provide social welfare certificates. These must be accessed through your regular GP.
  • CAN MY CHILD HAVE A VIDEO CONSULTATION?
Children can participate in video consultations, but both the child and the adult accompanying them must be physically present during the call. If the child is 15 or younger, a parent or guardian must also be present. *Always remember that children are medicated according to their weight, so it is important to know the child's weight.
  • CAN ISSUE REFERRAL LETTERS FOR THE A&E DEPARTAMENT?
